SKILLMAN, N.J. -- The Stanford women rejoin the Virginia men at No. 1 in the Campbell/ITA College Tennis Rankings after relinquishing the top spot last month for the first time since entering the 2010-11 season as the preseason favorite.

Despite being the only undefeated team remaining in Division I women's team play, Stanford (17-0) has been edged by Florida since defeating them in the ITA National Team Indoor Championship. The Gators' schedule propelled them to No. 1, but Stanford's impressive three-game SoCal road sweep has the reigning NCAA Champs back where they started the year.

Coming off convincing wins at Pepperdine, UCLA and USC, the Cardinal remained unbeaten on the season, while elevating them into sole possession of first place in the Pac-10. Stanford has now won 36 consecutive contests dating back to a 6-1 loss at UCLA in late February of last year.

Meanwhile, the Virginia men recently concluded an eye-popping 11-match road trip by sweeping Florida State and Miami. The victories pushed UVA's record to 20-0 on the season, reaching the 20-win plateau for the ninth consecutive season, while extending Virginia's ACC-record win streak to 68 consecutive victories over conference competition.

The Cavaliers, who haven't played at home since Feb. 11, will host perhaps their toughest ACC rivals next weekend, with No. 9 Duke and No. 15 North Carolina heading to Charlottesville.
