Twenty-four-year-old Jason Keatseangsilp of Tucson, Ariz., will be making his World Team Cup debut this year in Tel Aviv as a member of the U.S. men’s team.

Keatseangsilp has been a tennis fan since childhood, attending Wimbledon and the US Open. In 2011, during his senior year in high school, he suffered a severe spinal cord injury when he fell 40 feet in a repelling accident and broke his back. He saw wheelchair tennis being played soon after he was discharged from the hospital and decided to give the sport a try. He is now one of the top wheelchair players in the country.

Among his career highlights, Keatseangsilp won doubles titles at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden Wheelchair Championships in January and the Mazatlan Wheelchair Tennis Tournament in December. He also reached the doubles final at the 2019 Arizona Open in January, partnering with fellow World Cup Team member Casey Ratzlaff at each of the tournaments.

A graduate of the University of Arizona in 2017 with a degree in engineering, Keatseangsilp is currently ranked No. 2 in doubles and No. 5 in singles in the U.S. Men's Wheelchair Open rankings.
