The monthly USTA Player Development Player and Coach Honor Roll recognizes the top performing young Americans and their coaches each month.

Here’s a look at some of the most outstanding performances turned in by American tennis players ages 20 and younger in May:

Christian Alshon (July 8, 2000), Boca Raton, Fla. – Boys’ singles and doubles champion at the ITF Grade 4 Delray Beach junior event. He is coached by Eleazar Magallan.

Luis Alejandro Iriarte Bastidas (June 22, 2001), Weston, Fla. – Boys’ doubles champion at the ITF Grade 4 Copa Badia junior event in Coral Gables, Fla. 

John Bernard (Aug. 14, 2001), Bonita Springs, Fla. – Boys’ doubles champion at the Grade 4 Plantation ITF junior event in Florida; Boys’ doubles champion at the Grade 4 ITF Copa Cariari junior event in Costa Rica. He is coached by Rene Gomez.

Juan Jose Bianchi (Jan. 9, 2001), Ocoee, Fla. – Boys’ doubles champion at the Grade 5 Copa El Salvador ITF junior event. He is coached by Juan Carlos Bianchi.

Hurricane Tyra Black (March 2, 2001), Boca Raton, Fla. – Girls’ singles champion at the ITF Grade 4 Copa Badia junior event in Coral Gables, Fla.; Girls’ doubles champion at the ITF Grade 4 Delray Beach junior event. She is coached by Lawrence Carpio.

Jaedan Brown (July 5, 2002), Granger, Ind. – Girls’ doubles champion at the ITF Grade 4 Copa Badia junior event in Coral Gables, Fla. She is coached by Auggie Guimareas.

Elizabeth Coleman (March 21, 2003), Midland, Mich. – Girls’ doubles champion and singles finalist at the ITF Grade 4 Copa Badia junior event in Coral Gables, Fla. She is coached by Mike Flowers.

Kylie Collins (Dec. 4, 2002), Savannah, Ga. – Girls’ doubles champion at the Grade 4 ITF Copa Cariari junior event in Costa Rica. She is coached by Evan Austin.

Briana Crowley (June 13, 2001), Battle Ground, Ind. – Girls’ singles champion at the Grade 4 Plantation ITF junior event in Florida. She is coached by Margie Zesinger.

William Grant (Feb. 13, 2001), Orlando – Boys’ doubles champion at the Grade 2 International Spring Bowl ITF junior event in Austria. He is coached by Juan Viloca.

Kailey Evans (Jan. 14, 2003), Ennis, Texas – Girls’ doubles champion and singles finalist at the Grade 4 ITF Copa Cariari junior event in Costa Rica. She is coached by Dave Licker.

Ellie Halbauer (July 10, 1997), Charleston, S.C. – Singles champion at a $15,000 pro circuit event in Antalya, Turkey.

Hunter Heck (May 15, 2002), New Brighton, Minn. – Boys’ singles champion at the Grade 4 Plantation ITF junior event in Florida. He is coached by Viet Pham.

Phillip Jordan (Nov. 7, 2000), Spartanburg, S.C. – Boys’ singles finalist and doubles champion at the ITF Grade 5 Jamaica Cup junior event; Boys’ doubles champion at the Grade 5 Yonex Calgary U18 ITF junior event in Canada.

Zane Khan (Feb. 11, 2002), New Braunfels, Texas – Boys’ doubles champion at the Grade 2 Panaceo ITF Junior Cup in Austria. He is coached by Shariq Kahn.

Nicole Kiefer (Nov. 18, 2002), The Woodlands, Texas – Girls’ doubles champion at the ITF Grade 5 Jamaica Cup junior event.

Madison Kim (April 15, 2001), Atherton, Calif. – Girls’ doubles champion at the Grade 5 Yonex Calgary U18 ITF junior event in Canada.

Cannon Kingsley (May 6, 2001), Northport, N.Y. – Boys’ singles champion at the Grade 1 Torneo Mauro Sabatini junior event in Santa Croce, Italy. He is coached by Alex Pops-Moldovan.

Raveena Kingsley (July 23, 1998), Fulton, Md. – Singles champion at a $15,000 pro circuit event in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Toby Kodat (Jan. 13, 2003), Bradenton, Fla. – Boys’ singles champion at the Grade 2 Panaceo ITF Junior Cup in Austria. He is coached by his father, Ales.

Tomas Kopczynski (June 11, 2000), Delray Beach, Fla. – Boys’ doubles champion at the Grade 2 International Spring Bowl ITF junior event in Austria. He is coached by his father, Tomek.

Jackeline Lopez (Sept. 6, 2002), Lawrenceville, Ga. – Girls’ singles finalist at the ITF Grade 5 Jamaica Cup junior event.

Elli Mandlik (May 19, 2001), Delray Beach, Fla. – Girls’ doubles champion and singles finalist at the ITF Grade 4 Delray Beach junior event. She is coached by Gabriel Trifu.

Andrew Mariados (May 17, 2000), Manlius, N.Y. – Boys’ singles finalist and doubles champion at the ITF Grade 5 Jamaica Cup junior event.

Michael Mmoh (Jan. 10, 1998), Bradenton, Fla. – Singles semifinals at the USTA Pro Circuit $75,000 Challenger in Savannah, Ga. He is coached by Glenn Weiner.

Govind Nanda (Feb. 17, 2001), Cerritos, Calif. – Boys’ doubles champion at the Grade A Trofeo Bonfiglio ITF junior event in Milan, Italy. He is coached by Vahe Assadourian.

Adam Neff (May 30, 2001), Bradenton, Fla. – Boys’ singles finalist at the ITF Grade 4 Copa Badia junior event in Coral Gables, Fla. He is coached by Brandon Wagner.

Axel Nefve (July 22, 2000), Boca Raton, Fla. – Boys’ singles finalist at the ITF Grade 4 Delray Beach junior event. He is coached by Nick Saviano.

Alexa Noel (Sept. 6, 2002), Summit, N.J. – Girls’ singles and doubles champion at the Grade 1 Astrid Bowl ITF junior event in Charleroi, Belgium. She is coached by Jason Zafiros.

Reilly Opelka (Aug. 28, 1997), Palm Coast, Fla. – Singles champion at the €106,000 Challenger in Bordeaux, France; Singles semifinals at the USTA Pro Circuit $75,000 Challenger in Savannah, Ga. He is coached by Jay Berger.

Jackson Ross (March 11, 2001), San Antonio – Boys’ doubles champion at the Grade 5 ITF Tunari Junior Open in Bolivia. He is coached by Michael Castillo & Leury Arias.

Michelle Sorokko (Feb. 21, 2001), Douglaston, N.Y. – Girls’ singles champion at the ITF Grade 4 Delray Beach junior event.

Elizabeth Stevens (Nov. 2, 2001), Portland, Ore. – Girls’ doubles champion at the Grade 5 Yonex Calgary U18 ITF junior event in Canada.

Frances Tiafoe (Jan. 20, 1998), Hyattsville, Md. – Singles finalist the ATP 250 in Estoril, Portugal. He is coached by Robby Ginepri.

Max Wild (Jan. 4, 2000), Murrieta, Calif. – Boys’ doubles champion at the ITF Grade 4 Delray Beach junior event. He is coached by Bill Behrens & Justin Montgomery.

Allura Zamarripa (Aug. 15, 2002), St. Helena, Calif. – Girls’ singles and doubles champion at the Grade 5 Panorama International Junior ITF Championships in North Saanich, Canada. She is coached by her father, David.

Maribella Zamarripa (Aug. 15, 2002), St. Helena, Calif. – Girls’ doubles champion at the Grade 5 Panorama International Junior ITF Championships in North Saanich, Canada. She is coached by her father, David.

Tyler Zink (Jan. 30, 2001), Bradenton, Fla. – Boys’ doubles champion at the Grade A Trofeo Bonfiglio ITF junior event in Milan, Italy. He is coached by George Zink.
