Jay Gooding- National Coach, Men's Tennis

Jay Gooding was hired on February 28, 2011 as a full-time USTA National Coach.
In this role, Jay reports to Jay Berger, Head of Men's Tennis.
Jay’s responsibilities include facilitating coaching and training programs to assist in the development of our best prospects at the USTA Training Centers as well as at other locations.
Jay has been a part-time coach in our USTA Training Center – East office since January 2010.
Prior to joining the USTAPD, Jay was a Founding Member and Head Coach at Pro Form Tennis in Rye Brook, NY where he was responsible for hiring coaching staff and designing and implementing training programs as well as summer camps.
Previously, Jay spent 2 years as a private tennis coach on Long Island and as head coach of the Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Sleepy Hollow, NY. He was a touring professional on the ATP World Tour from 1996-2004, during which time he participated in events across the globe, including in the Australian Open Qualifying Tournament. He achieved a career-high ranking of No. 488 in 2001.
