Michael Sell- Lead National Coach, Men's Tennis

Sell, 36, joined the USTA coaching staff in 2003. He has worked with a number of America’s top young talent since joining the staff, including Mardy Fish, Donald Young and John Isner, as well as a number of the country’s top juniors. Prior to joining the USTA, Sell served for two years as Monica Seles’ personal coach, during which time she won five titles and reached three other finals. Sell played professionally on the ATP tour for five years, and reached career highs of No. 136 in singles and No. 83 in doubles. He won 14 Challengers on the USTA Pro Circuit (three singles and eleven doubles titles) and recorded wins over a number of top players, including Tommy Robredo and Radek Stepanek. Sell was also a Davis Cup Practice Partner in 1998.

Sell had an illustrious collegiate career at the University of Georgia, where he was a four-time All-American and reached a career high of No. 6. He received the Arthur Ashe Sportsmanship/Leadership Award in 1994.
