The monthly USTA Player Development Player and Coach Honor Roll recognizes the top performing young Americans and their coaches each month.

Here’s a look at some of the most outstanding performances turned in by American tennis players ages 20 and younger in August:

Saud Alhogbani (Jan. 15, 2003), Alexandria, Va. – USTA Boys’ 12s National singles champion. He is coached by Frank Salazar.

Collin Altamirano (Dec. 7, 1995), Yuba City, Calif. – Reached the singles semifinals at the $15,000 Futures event in Bolzano, Italy. He is coached by Joseph Gilbert.

Amanda Anisimova (Aug. 31, 2001), Hallandale Beach, Fla. – Went 2-0 in singles and doubles to help the U.S. girls to a runner-up finish in the 14-and-under World Junior Tennis finals in the Czech Republic. She is coached by her father, Konstantin.

Rachel Arbitman (Dec. 12, 2002), Hewlett, N.Y. – USTA Girls’ 12s National singles finalist and doubles champion. She is coached by Erik Kortland.

Madison Battaglia (Feb. 165, 1998), Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y. – Qualified and reached the singles semifinals at the Grade 1 Prince George’s County International Hard Court Junior Championship in College Park, Md. She is coached by Felix Alvarado.

CiCi Bellis (April 8, 1999), Atherton, Calif. – Reached the third round of women’s qualifying at the US Open. She is coached by Tom Gutteridge.

Hurricane Tyra Black (March 2, 2001), Boca Raton, Fla. – Went 2-0 in doubles to help the U.S. girls to a runner-up finish in the 14-and-under World Junior Tennis finals in the Czech Republic. She is coached by Gayal and Sly Black.

Tornado Alicia Black (May 12, 1998), Boca Raton, Fla. – USTA Girls’ 18s National Championships singles finalist and doubles champion; earned a wild card into the US Open singles qualifying draw and doubles main draw. She is coached by Gayal and Sly Black.

Naomi Cheong (May 16, 2002), Las Vegas – USTA Girls’ 14s National singles finalist. She is coached by Henner Nehles.

Louisa Chirico (May 16, 1996), Harrison, N.Y. – Reached the quarterfinals of the WTA event in Washington, D.C., upsetting 27th-ranked Alize Cornet in the second round. She is coached by Jay Gooding.

Nicole Coopersmith (May 8, 1999), West Palm Beach, Fla. – Qualified and won the singles title at the $10,000 pro circuit tournament in Cakovec, Croatia. She is coached by her father, Roy.

Paris Corley (Jan. 3, 1998), Grants, New Mexico – Won the girls’ singles title at the Grade 4 Monterrey Contry ITF Junior Cup in Monterrey, Mexico, then reached the singles semis and doubles final at the Grade 4 Monterrey San Agustin Junior Cup in San Agustin. She is coached by Joey Blake.

Sara Daavettila (Dec. 17, 1997), Williamston, Mich. – Reached the semifinals at the USTA Girls’ 18s National Championships. She is coached by Mike Flowers.
    
Sabina Dadaciu (April 6, 2001), Tequesta, Fla. – Reached the girls’ singles semis and won the doubles title at the Grade 5 Tobago Junior ITF tournament in Trinidad & Tobago.

Najah Dawson (Sept. 9, 2001), Sarasota, Fla. – Reached the girls’ singles final at the Grade 5 Tobago Junior ITF tournament in Trinidad & Tobago. She is coached by her father, Larry.

Abigail Desiatnikov (Jan. 22, 2001), Sandy Springs, Ga. – Won the USTA Girls’ 16s National singles championship. She is coached by her father, Eugene.

Jake Van Emburgh (Sept. 23, 1998), Belleair Beach, Fla. – Qualified and reached the singles semifinals at the Grade 1 Prince George’s County International Hard Court Junior championship in College Park, Md. He is coached by his father, Greg.

Dakota Fordham (May 8, 2002), New York – Won the girls’ doubles title at the Grade 5 Coca Cola ITF junior tournament in Castries, St. Lucia. She is coached by Carlos Maldonado.

Nicole Frenkel (April 29, 1998), Winchester, Mass. – Qualified and reached the quarterfinals of both the $50,000 USTA Pro Circuit women’s tournament in Lexington, Ky., and the $25,000 event in Landisville, Pa.

Taylor Fritz (Oct. 28, 1997), Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. – Was a USTA Boys’ 18s National singles semifinalist and doubles champion; earned a wild card into the US Open doubles main draw. He is coached by his father, Guy.

Nicholas Garcia (Jan. 27, 2002), Hollywood, Fla. – USTA Boys’ 14s National doubles champion. He is coached by Andy Brandi.

Zachary Garner (March 25, 1999), Henderson, Nev. – Reached the singles and doubles semifinals at the Grade 5 Tobago Junior ITF tournament in Trinidad & Tobago. He is coached Taylor Dent and Billy DeRango.

Nathan Han (April 15, 2001), Tulsa, Okla. – USTA Boys’ 14s National singles champion. He is coached by Kevin Garlington.

Kacie Harvey (Aug. 27, 2001), Braintree, Mass. – USTA Girls’ 14s National doubles champion. She is coached by Calin Mateas.

Ronan Jachuck (Oct. 8, 2001), Boca Raton, Fla. – USTA Boys’ 14s National singles finalist and doubles champion; also won the boys’ singles title at the Grade 5 Tobago Junior ITF tournament in Trinidad & Tobago. He is coached by Sly Black.

Garrett Johns (Dec. 17, 2000), Atlanta – Qualified and won the singles title at the Grade 5 SVGTA ITF junior international in St. Vincent & the Grenadines. He is coached by Noel Wadawu.

Sofia Kenin (Nov. 14, 1998), Pembroke Pines, Fla. – USTA Girls’ 18s National Champion; earned a wild card into the US Open singles main draw. She is coached by her father, Alex.

Raveena Kingsley (July 23, 1998), Fulton, Md. – USTA Girls’ 18s National Championships semifinalist; defeated former US Open doubles champion Andrea Hlavackova in her first US Open women’s qualifying match. She is coached by Taylor and Phil Dent.

Benjamin Kittay (Aug. 27, 2003), Potomac, Md. – USTA Boys’ 12s National singles finalist and doubles champion. He is coached by his father, Gary.

Stefan Kozlov (Feb. 1, 1998), Pembroke Pines, Fla. – USTA Boys’ 18s National Championships singles finalist; earned a wild card into the US Open singles qualifying draw. He is coached by his father, Andrei.

Josie Kuhlman (Nov. 5, 1995), Ponte Vedra, Fla. – Won the doubles title at the $10,000 USTA Pro Circuit event in Fort Worth, Texas. She is coached by Roland Thornqvist.

Patrick Kypson (Oct. 28, 1999), Greenville, N.C. – USTA Boys’ 16s National singles champion. Kypson (pictured above) is coached by Mat and Chris Cloer.

Justin Lee (June 2, 1998), Cos Cob, Conn. – Qualified and won the singles title at the Grade 5 Coca Cola ITF junior tournament in Castries, St. Lucia.

Karl Lee (Nov. 3, 2002), Los Altos, Calif. – USTA Boys’ 12s National doubles champion. He is coached by Michael Jessup.

Claire Liu (May 25, 2000), Thousand Oaks, Calif. – Reached the third round of women’s qualifying at the US Open. She is coached by Mike Gennette.

Jason Legall (Nov. 11, 1998), Palm Coast, Fla. – Won the boys’ doubles title at the Copa Tampico Grade 3 junior event in Tampico, Mexico.

Ann Li (June 26, 2000), Devon, Pa. – USTA Girls’ 16s National doubles champion. She is coached by Jon Glover.

Lea Ma (Feb. 1, 2001), Dix Hills, N.Y. – USTA Girls’ 14s National doubles champion. She is coached by Rich Reyes.

Maegan Manasse (April 16, 1995), Redondo Beach, Calif. – Won the doubles title at the $10,000 USTA Pro Circuit event in Fort Worth, Texas. She is coached by Amanda Augustus.

Elli Mandlik (May 19, 2001), Boynton Beach, Calif. – Won consecutive girls’ doubles titles at the Grade 5 Coca Cola ITF junior tournament in Castries, St. Lucia and the Grade 5 Tobago Junior ITF tournament in Trinidad & Tobago. She is coached by Gabriel Trifu.

Caty McNally (Nov. 20, 2001), Cincinnati – Went 3-1 in singles and 4-0 in doubles to help the U.S. girls to a runner-up finish in the 14-and-under World Junior Tennis finals in the Czech Republic. She is coached by her mother, Lynn.

Sebastian Mermersky (April 9, 1999), Washington, D.C. – Reached the boys’ singles semis at the Grade 4 Monterrey Contry ITF Junior Cup in Monterrey, Mexico. He is coached by Agathe Belebi.

Kianah Motosono (Feb. 11, 2000), Miami, Fla. – Reached the girls’ singles and doubles finals at the Grade 5 Coca Cola ITF junior tournament in Castries, St. Lucia, then won the doubles title and reached the singles semifinals at the Grade 5 SVGTA ITF junior international in St. Vincent & the Grenadines.

Brandon Nakashima (Aug. 3, 2001), San Diego – Went 4-1 in singles and 2-0 in doubles to help the U.S. boys to a third-place finish in the 14-and-under World Junior Tennis finals in the Czech Republic. He is coached by Angel Lopez, Woody Blocher, Larry Stefanki, and Robert Yim.

Govind Nanda (Feb. 17, 2001), Redlands, Calif. – Went 5-0 in doubles to help the U.S. boys to a third-place finish in the 14-and-under World Junior Tennis finals in the Czech Republic. He is coached by Vahe Assadourian.

Ingrid Neel (June 16, 1998), Rochester, Minn. – USTA Girls’ 18s National doubles champion; earned a wild card into the US Open doubles main draw. She is coached by Margie Zesinger.

Adam Neff (May 30, 2001), Bradenton, Fla. – Went 3-2 in singles and 2-0 in doubles to help the U.S. boys to a third-place finish in the 14-and-under World Junior Tennis finals in the Czech Republic. He is coached by Lance Luciani.

Reilly Opelka (Aug. 28, 1997), Palm Coast, Fla. – USTA Boys’ 18s National doubles champion; earned a wild card into the US Open doubles main draw. He is coached by Diego Moyano.

Whitney Osuigwe (April 17, 2002), Bradenton, Fla. – USTA Girls’ 16s National singles finalist. She is coached by her father, Desmond.

Tommy Paul (May 17, 1997), Greenville, N.C. – Qualified for the main draw at the US Open after reaching the semifinals of the USTA Boys’ 18s National Championships. He is coached by Diego Moyano.

Kate Paulus (Sept. 9, 1999), Leawood, Kan. – Won the girls’ singles title at the Grade 5 Coca Cola ITF junior tournament in Castries, St. Lucia. She is coached by Jose Caballero and Bobby Bernstein.

Raquel Pedraza (Jan. 28, 1998), Claremont, Calif. – Won the girls’ singles title at the Copa Tampico Grade 3 junior event in Tampico, Mexico. She is coached by Paul Salvador.

Bryce Pereira (Dec. 3, 1998), San Gabriel, Calif. – USTA Boys’ 16s National doubles champion. He is coached by his father, Melwin.

Jack Pulliam (Dec. 14, 1999), Manhattan Beach, Calif. – Reached the singles final and won the doubles title at the Grade 5 Tobago Junior ITF tournament in Trinidad & Tobago, and also won the doubles title at the Grade 5 Coca Cola ITF junior tournament in St. Lucia.

Alexandre Rotsaert (Oct. 14, 1999), Boca Raton, Fla. – USTA Boys’ 16s National Championships singles finalist. He is coached by Hafeez Hameed.

Alex Rybakov (Jan. 27, 1997), Coral Springs, Fla. – Reached the singles semifinals at the $15,000 Futures tournament in Winnipeg, Canada. He is coached by his father, Nick.

Alexandra Sabe (July 14, 1998), Rye, N.Y. – Reached the girls’ singles and doubles finals at the Copa Tampico Grade 3 junior event in Tampico, Mexico. She is coached by Saul Salazar.

Kenadee Semenik (Dec. 18, 2002), Las Vegas – USTA Girls’ 12s National doubles champion. She is coached by Lew Deleon.

Alana Smith (Nov. 9, 1999), Fort Washington, Md. – Reached the girls’ singles semifinals at the Grade 5 Tobago Junior ITF tournament in Trinidad & Tobago. She is coached by Rozzell Lightfoot.

Zoe Spence (June 3, 1998), Chicago – Won the girls’ singles title at the Grade 5 Tobago Junior ITF tournament in Trinidad & Tobago and reached the singles semis and won the doubles title at the Grade 5 SVGTA ITF junior international in St. Vincent & the Grenadines. She is coached by Jack Sharpe & Kamau Murray.

Sangheet Sridhar (March 20, 2000), Glendale, Ariz. – Reached the boys’ singles semifinals at the Copa Tampico Grade 3 junior event in Tampico, Mexico. He is coached by Rafael Font de Mora.

Natasha Subhash (Sept. 2, 2001), Fairfax, Va. – USTA Girls’ 16s National doubles champion. She is coached by Bear Schofield.

Ivan Thamma (Jan. 30, 1999), San Diego – USTA Boys’ 16s National doubles champion. He is coached by Darren Miller.

Frances Tiafoe (Jan. 20, 1998), College Park, Md. – USTA Boys’ 18s national singles champion; earned a wild card into the US Open main draw. Also qualified and reached the second round of the ATP 250 Winston-Salem Open. He is coached by Jose Higueras.

Camille Townsend (May 28, 2000), Coconut Creek, Fla. – Reached the girls’ singles final at the Grade 5 El Ombu Cup junior event in Argentina. She is coached by Gustavo Granitto.

Katie Volynets (Dec. 31, 2001), Walnut Creek, Calif. – USTA Girls’ 14s National singles champion. She is coached by Richard Thompkins.

Nikki Yanez (Sep. 11, 2003), Sarasota, Fla. – USTA Girls’ 12s National singles champion. She is coached by her father, Paul.

Evan Zhu (Aug. 15, 1998), Irvine, Calif. – Won the boys’ doubles title at the Copa Tampico Grade 3 junior event in Tampico, Mexico, and reached the doubles final, with Michael Li, a week later at the Grade 4 Monterrey Contry ITF Junior Cup in Monterrey, Mexico. He is coached by Taylor and Phil Dent.
