The monthly USTA Player Development Player and Coach Honor Roll recognizes the top-performing young Americans and their coaches each month.
 
Here is a look at some of the most outstanding performances turned in by American tennis players ages 20 and younger in April:
 
CiCi Bellis (April 8, 1999), Atherton, Calif. – Bellis won the Easter Bowl Girls’ 16s singles championship in Rancho Mirage, Calif., overcoming Caroline Dolehide (Sept. 8, 1998; Hinsdale, Ill.), in the final.
 
Alicia Black (May 12, 1998), Boca Raton, Fla. – Black reached the Girls’ 18s singles final at the Easter Bowl in Rancho Mirage, Calif. She is coached by Lawrence Carpio.
 
Gage Brymer (Feb. 7, 1995), Irvine, Calif. – Brymer, a UCLA recruit, won the Easter Bowl Boys’ 18s title in Rancho Mirage, Calif., overcoming Luca Corinteli (July 9, 1995; Alexandria, Va.) in the final. He is coached by his father Chuck.
 
Lauren Davis (Oct. 9, 1993), Gates Mills, Ohio – Davis reached the quarterfinals of the WTA tournament in Monterrey, Mexico, before falling to then-No. 26 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, 6-2, 7-5. She trains at the Evert Tennis Academy with Carlos Zapata.
 
Jake DeVine (May 22, 1997), Boca Raton, Fla. – DeVine defeated Catalin Mateas (May 21, 1997; Braintree, Mass.) for the USTA International Spring Championship Boys’ 16s singles title in Carson, Calif. He works with USTA National Coach Eric Nunez.
 
Jenna Friedel (Oct. 21, 1997), Mill Valley, Calif. – Friedel reached the singles final and won the doubles title at the Open Junior du Conseil General in Guadeloupe.  She trains out of the L’Academie de Tennis in Boynton Beach, Fla.
 
Madison Keys (Feb. 17, 1995), Rock Island, Ill. – Keys advanced to the quarterfinals of the WTA Family Circle Cup in Charleston, S.C., falling to Venus Williams. She works with USTA National Coach Juan Todero.
 
Allie Kiick (June 30, 1995), Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Kiick, a former full-time trainee at the USTA Training Center – Headquarters in Boca Raton, Fla., had an impressive month on the USTA Pro Circuit, reaching the semifinals at the $25,000 event in Jackson, Miss., then advancing to the final of the $50,000 event in Charlottesville, Va. She is coached by Harold Solomon.
 
Stefan Kozlov (Feb. 1, 1998), Pembroke Pines, Fla. – Kozlov solidified his status as one of the world’s top juniors in April by winning the USTA International Spring Championship in Carson, Calif., overcoming Henrik Wiersholm (March 27, 1997; Kirkland, Wash.) for the Boys’ 18s title. Ranked No. 19 in the ITF World Junior Rankings, he remains the youngest player in the Top 20. He works with USTA National Coach Nicolas Todero.
 
Sameer Kumar (July 10, 1997), Carmel, Ind. – Kumar captured the Easter Bowl Boys’ 16s singles title, topping Kalman Boyd (April 9, 1997; Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.) in the title match. He is coached by Bryan Smith.
 
Jamie Loeb (March 8, 1995), Bronxville, N.Y. – Loeb reached the Girls’ 18s singles final at the USTA International Spring Championships in Carson, Calif., and captured the doubles title with Maegan Manasse. She is coached by Felix Alvarado.
 
Jessica Pegula (Feb. 24, 2994), Buffalo, N.Y. – Pegula began April by reaching the round of 16 at the WTA Family Circle Cup in Charleston, S.C., before taking to the USTA Pro Circuit, where she advanced to the semifinals of the $25,000 event in Pelham, Ala., and the quarterfinals of the $50,000 event in Dothan, Ala. She is coached by Michael Joyce.
 
Bernarda Pera (Dec. 3, 1994) – Pera reached the singles final at the $10,000 Futures in Bol, Croatia, then advanced to the semifinals of another $10,000 Futures the next week in Sibenik, Croatia. She is coached by Miro Nincevic.
 
Johnnise Renaud (May 10, 1996), North Miami, Fla. – Renaud swept the singles and doubles titles at the Costa Rica Bowl ITF Junior event. She is coached by Bill Adams.
 
Shelby Rogers (Oct. 13, 1992), Mount Pleasant, S.C. – Rogers won her second professional singles title – both coming at $50,000 events – in April when she defeated Allie Kiick in the final of the USTA Pro Circuit event in Charlottesville, Va. She works with USTA National Coach Sylvain Guichard.
 
Mira Ruder-Hook (April 23, 1996), Denver – Ruder-Hook reached the singles final at the Barbados Junior International ITF Junior event in early April and won the doubles title with Caroline Turner.
 
Ena Shibahara (Feb. 12, 1998), Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. – Shibahara topped Claire Liu (May 25, 2000; Thousand Oaks, Calif.) in the Girls’ 16s singles final at the USTA International Spring Championships in Carson, Calif., and also took the Girls 16’s doubles title, with Savannah Slaysman. She trains with her father and coaches Oliver Messerli and Kimberly Po-Messerli near her home at the Peninsula Racquet Club.
