Taylor, has worked with Americans Ryan Sweeting, Robert Kendrick and Tim Smyczek, all of whom have achieved career-high ATP rankings under Taylor’s tutelage. In 2008 Taylor served as head coach of World TeamTennis’ New York Sportimes who reached the semifinals, and in 2005, Taylor worked with 2010 NCAA runner- up from the University of Tennessee, Rhyne Williams now up and coming American on the ATP Tour. He helped Williams capture the boys’ 14s title at that year’s Junior Orange Bowl title. Taylor was a top collegian who was a finalist for Big Ten Freshman of the Year at the University of Wisconsin before transferring to the University of Tulsa. In 2003, he was named an All-American and reached the quarterfinals at the NCAA Division I Championships.
