Hey guys,

Well, I'd like to tell you all about my exciting day out here in Carson, but unfortunately my day consisted of a lot of waiting around.

I woke up at 7:30. I had my usual breakfast from the Bagel Factory and headed to the site to meet Alexios. We had a warm up set up at 9:30, and we hit for a solid half hour. We both got a good sweat going, and we were ready to play.

My match was not before 10:30, and I had 2 matches in front of me that started at 8. Both of them were girls' matches, and both of them went the distance in 3-set battles. So, I waited and waited....and waited....and waited and then waited some more. By the time I actually walked on court for my match, it was 1:30. It's tough to wait so long because you don't know when you should eat, how much you should eat or when you should start running around to get loose.

Nevertheless, I got on court and had a decent first round. I won the match 2 and 4. It was a good way to start the tourney. My opponent made me hit a lot of balls and made me work for my points.

After the match, I had about an hour of rest and was back on the court for doubles. Alexios and I played really well and took the win 2, 1. We were really in sync with each other out there, and we were happy to get the first-round win.

I got back to the hotel around 6, showered and had dinner at Chipotle. Chipotle is one of my favorite restaurants, and it is right across the street from the Doubletree, so I'm sure that I'll be there a few more times this week.

I got back and just kind of chilled in my room. It was a long day, and I want to make sure that I am well rested and ready to go for my 2nd-round match tomorrow. I play at 9am.

Hopefully I'll get the job done tomorrow.

Cya later,
Bjorn
