Greg Hasterok will be playing on the U.S. men's World Team Cup quad team for the sixth time in his career in 2019.

The San Diego native began playing wheelchair tennis at the age of 26 after suffering a broken back and tearing multiple nerves in his right arm in a motorcycle accident. He spent several years splitting his time between wheelchair rugby and tennis, before deciding to focus solely on tennis.

Hasterok, who was originally right-handed before switching over to a lefty following his injury, has been one of the world's top quad players for several years, reaching career-high rankings—No. 5 in singles and No. 3 in doubles—in the ITF rankings in 2013.

Currently ranked 15th in doubles and 17th in singles in the quad world rankings, his recent highlights include winning quad doubles title (with Nick Taylor) and reaching the singles final at the 2019 Arizona Open, winning the doubles title (with Sam Schroder) and advancing to the singles semifinals at the 2018 Prague Cup Czech Indoor, and winning the doubles title (with Ymanitu Silva) at the 2018 Wroclaw Cup.
