U.S. Teams Advance to Junior Davis and Fed Cup and World Junior Tennis Finals

The United States advanced to the Junior Davis and Fed Cup and World Junior Tennis Finals over the weekend, going undefeated across all four competitions in the North/Central American and Caribbean qualifying rounds in Mexico City. 

The U.S. boys and girls will compete in the 16-and-under Junior Davis and Fed Cup Finals, played September 25-30 in Budapest, Hungary, and the 14-and-under World Junior Tennis Finals, played August 6-11 in Prostejov, Czech Republic. The U.S. is the defending champion in both girls' competitions.

Alex Lee (16, Oak Brook, Ill.; Coach: Tom Lockhart) led the Junior Davis Cup team in qualifying, going 3-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles. Fiona Crawley (16, San Antonio; Coaches: Peter Crawley, John Newcomb Tennis Ranch) went 3-0 in singles for the Junior Fed Cup side.

Reese Brantmeier (13, Whitewater, Wisc.; Coach: John Reed) and Robin Montgomery (13, Washington, D.C.: Coach: Ali Agnamba) each went 2-0 in singles for the World Junior Tennis girls, while all three World Junior Tennis boys -- Evan Wen (14, Morristown, N.J.; Coach: Adrian Contreras), Victor Lilov (14, Raleigh, N.C.; Coaches: Chris Cloer, Paul Goode) and Bruno Kuzuhara (14, Coconut Creek, Fla.; Coach: Michael Bennett) -- went 2-0 in singles and doubles.
