College tennis resumes this fall, as the nation's top players are set to compete for the first men's national title of the fall season at the 2012 ITA Men's All-American Championships. For the eighth straight year, the University of Tulsa's Michael D. Case Tennis Center will be the site for the ITA Men's All-American Championships.

Prequalifying matches are set to begin on Sept. 29, with qualifying matches following on Oct. 1. A field of 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams will then compete in the main draw on Oct. 4.

Singles quarterfinalists, doubles finalists and consolation champions will receive an automatic entry into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships on Nov. 8-11, held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y.

Although 2011 singles champion Mitchell Frank of Virginia is out with an injury, the 2012 field is still deep with talent. Duke's Henrique Cunha is a player to watch in this year's tournament, as he enters the ITA All-American Championships as the top-ranked player in the Campbell/ITA Division I Preseason Rankings. Cunha is making his fourth straight All-American singles appearance after racking up 41 wins last year playing exclusively first singles.

Highlighting the doubles field is Jonas Lutjen and Nik Scholtz from Ole Miss. The duo enters the ITA All-American Championships as the second-ranked doubles team in the nation after recording an 18-6 record last season. Earlier this year, Lutjen captured the prestigious Southern Intercollegiate singles title, while Scholtz represented South Africa in Davis Cup action.

Other top players returning to Tulsa this season are 2010 ITA All-American singles champion and 2012 NCAA Quarterfinalist Alex Domijan of Virginia. Fellow Cavalier Jarmere Jenkins is also in the singles field after earning ACC Player of the Year honors last year, as is two-time ITA All-American and 2012 Big Ten Athlete of the Year Evan King of Michigan.

A number of former ITA Men's All-American champions have gone on to professional success, including John Isner (Georgia), who reached his first Grand Slam quarterfinal at the US Open in 2011; Bob and Mike Bryan (Stanford), whose 12 Grand Slam titles surpassed the record for most Grand Slam doubles titles in the Open Era; James Blake (Harvard), who peaked at No. 4 in the world in 2006; MaliVai Washington (Michigan), who was the 1996 Wimbledon men's singles runner-up; and Mikael Pernfors (Georgia), who was the 1986 French Open men's singles runner-up.
