2012 All-America teams for NCAA Division I Tennis announced

SKILLMAN, N.J. -- The ITA has announced the 2012 All-America Teams for NCAA Men's and Women's Division I.
 
The men's team is highlighted by USC senior Steve Johnson, who is now a seven-time ITA All-American to go along with his back-to-back NCAA Singles Titles. Ole Miss and Virginia had the most players recognized, with four earning All-America honors.
 
For the women, Stanford sophomore Nicole Gibbs highlights the squad, bolstered by her NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship victories in Athens, Ga., this season. California, Florida, UCLA and USC each landed four players on the women's team this season.  

A player must meet any of the following criteria to earn ITA All-America honors:

Singles
  1. Top-16 seed in NCAA Singles Championships, or;
  2. Reach Round of 16 in NCAA Singles Championships, or;
  3. Finish in the Top 20 of the final Campbell/ITA Rankings.

Doubles
  1. Top eight seed in NCAA Doubles Championships, or;
  2. Reach Quarterfinals of NCAA Doubles Championship, or;
  3.   inish in Top 10 of final Campbell/ITA Rankings
