Robin Anderson (April 12, 1993), Matawan, N.J. – Anderson, a junior at UCLA, reached the singles final and won the doubles title, with Lauren Embree, at the USTA Pro Circuit $25,000 event in Redding, Calif.

 

Tornado Alicia Black (May 12, 1998), Boca Raton, Fla. – Black arrived on the national scene during her run to the girls’ singles final at the US Open Junior Championship in New York, falling just short of winning the title in a dramatic 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (8) defeat at the hands of No. 2 seeded Ana Konjuh of Croatia. Then, the 15-year-old closed the month by winning her first professional singles title at the USTA Pro Circuit $10,000 event in Amelia Island, Fla. She is coached by Lawrence Carpio.

 

Andie Daniell (Jan. 7, 1997), Douglasville, Ga. -- Daniell won the girls’ singles title at the Copa Coqui ITF Junior event in Cabo Rojo, P.R. (Rianna Valdes was a doubles champion). She trains at Lifetime Fitness ATL.

 

Jake DeVine (May 22, 1997), Boca Raton, Fla. -- DeVine won the boys’ singles title at the ITF Junior event in Waco, Texas, edging Nathan Ponwith (April 20, 1998; Palm Coast, Fla.), who won the doubles title with Reilly Opelka, in the title match. He works with USTA National Coaches Diego Moyano and Eric Nunez.

 

Ernesto Escobedo (July 4, 1996), West Covina, Calif. -- Escobedo reached the singles final at the USTA Pro Circuit $10,000 Futures in Costa Mesa, Calif. He is coached by his father.

 

Bjorn Fratangelo (July 19, 1993), Pittsburgh – Fratangelo reached the semifinals of the $35,000 Challenger in Campinas, Brazil. He works with USTA National Coach Stanford Boster.

 

Marcos Giron (July 24, 1993), Thousand Oaks, Calif. – Giron, a junior at UCLA, claimed his first two professional singles titles on the USTA Pro Circuit this September, winning the $10,000 Futures events in Laguna Niguel and Claremont in his home state of California. He also reached the semifinals of another $10,000 Futures in Costa Mesa, Calif. He is coached by Amir Marandy.

 

Dasha Ivanova (Oct. 11, 1996), Beaverton, Ore. – Ivanova won the girls’ singles title and reached the doubles final (with Madison Bourguignon) at the ITF U18 Canadian World Ranking junior event in Montreal. She is coached by Lawrence Carpio at L’Academie de Tennis.

 

Madison Keys (Feb. 17, 1995), Rock Island, Ill. – Keys advanced to the third round of the WTA tournament in Tokyo, upsetting No. 10 seed Carla Suarez Navarro in the first round. She works with USTA National Coach Juan Todero.

Allie Kiick (June 30, 1995), Plantation, Fla. – Kiick reached the semifinals of the USTA Pro Circuit $25,000 event in Redding, Calif., then the quarterfinals of the $50,000 event in Las Vegas.

 

Robert Levine (Sept. 18, 1997), Bedford, N.Y. -- Levine won the boys’ singles title at the Copa Coqui ITF Junior event in Cabo Rojo, P.R. (Gui Gomes and Sami Kirberg won the doubles title). He is coached by Carl Thorsen.

 

Michael Mmoh (Jan. 10, 1998), Temple Hills, Md. – Mmoh won the singles title at the ITF U18 Canadian World Ranking junior event in Montreal (Anudeep Kodali and Carter Lin won the doubles title). He is coached by Glenn Weiner.

 

Miranda Ramirez (March 7, 1999), Miami -- Ramirez won the singles title and reached the doubles final at the Copa Maya ITF Junior event in El Salvador. She is coached by Matias Polonsky.

 

Shelby Rogers (Oct. 13, 1992), Charleston, S.C. -- Rogers won the singles title at the USTA Pro Circuit $75,000 event in Albuquerque. She works with USTA National Coach Troy Hahn.

 

Noah Rubin (Feb. 21, 1996), Rockville Centre, N.Y. -- Rubin advanced to the semifinals of the USTA Pro Circuit $10,000 Futures event in Laguna Niguel, Calif., losing to eventual champion Marcos Giron. He is coached by Lawrence Kleger.

 

Madison Westby (April 2, 1996), Tulsa, Okla. -- Westby took the girls’ singles title at the ITF Junior event in Waco, Texas, beating Jessica Golovin (July 9, 1997; New York), who won the doubles title with Emma Higuchi. She is coached by Trent Tucker.
