The monthly USTA Player Development Player and Coach Honor Roll recognizes the top performing young Americans and their coaches each month.
 
Here is a look at some of the most outstanding performances turned in by American tennis players ages 20 and younger in May:
 
Brooke Austin (Feb. 12, 1996), Indianapolis – Austin strung together a nice run in USTA Pro Circuit $10,000 tournaments, reaching the semifinals in Landisville, Pa., the final in Sumter, S.C., and the quarterfinals in Hilton Head, S.C. She works with Bryan Smith at Smith Tennis, a Regional Training Center.
 
Alicia Black (May 12, 1998), Boca Raton, Fla. – Black won back-to-back singles titles on the ITF Junior Circuit in May, winning both junior events in Plantation, Fla., and Delray Beach, Fla., adding the doubles title in Delray Beach with Dasha Ivanova. She is coached by Lawrence Carpio.
 
Hayley Carter (May 17, 1995), Hilton Head, S.C. – Carter reached the final of the USTA Pro Circuit $10,000 event in Hilton Head, S.C. She trains at the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy.
 
Samantha Crawford (Feb. 18, 1995), Atlanta – Crawford reached the semifinals of the USTA Pro Circuit $25,000 women’s event in Raleigh, N.C., losing to eventual champion Asia Muhammed. She works with USTA National Coach Kathy Rinaldi.
 
Bjorn Fratangelo (July 19, 1993), Pittsburgh – Fratangelo won his second USTA Pro Circuit $10,000 Futures title of 2013 in Orange Park, Fla. He works with USTA National Coach Stanford Boster.
 
Alexios Halebian (June 8, 1994), Hollywood, Calif. – Halebian, a finalist in the 2012 USTA Boys’ 18s National Championship, qualified and reached the final of a $10,000 ITF Futures tournament in Greece.
 
Christian Harrison (May 29, 1994), Shreveport, La. – Harrison advanced to the final of the USTA Pro Circuit $10,000 event in Tampa, Fla., falling to fellow American Austin Krajicek in the final. He is coached by his father Pat.
 
Olivia Hauger (Sept. 26, 1997), Tulsa, Okla. – Hauger captured the girls’ singles title at the Estonia Junior Open in Tallinn, Estonia. She works with Trent Tucker at Tucker Tennis Academy, one of the Regional Training Centers.
 
Sofia Kenin (Nov. 14, 1998), Pembroke Pines, Fla. -- Kenin won the girls’ singles title at the Daytona Beach ITF Junior event in Daytona Beach, Fla., overcoming Marie Norris (June 11, 1997; Burdett, Kan.) in the title match. Sofia is coached by her father Alex.
 
Madison Keys (Feb. 17. 1995), Rock Island, Ill. – Keys advanced to the second round of both the French Open and the WTA event in Madrid. She works with USTA National Coach Juan Todero.
 
Denis Kudla (Aug. 17, 1992), Arlington, Va. – Along with Jack Sock and Steve Johnson, Kudla was one of three American men to qualify for and reach the first round of the French Open, the highest such total since 1982. He works with USTA National Coach Diego Moyano.
 
Jamie Loeb (March 8, 1995), New York, N.Y. – Loeb won the USTA Pro Circuit $10,000 Futures in Sumter, S.C. She is coached by Felix Alvarado.
 
Tommy Paul (May 17, 1997), Coconut Creek, Fla. -- Paul didn’t lose a set in singles between the Delray Beach and Plantation ITF Junior events, taking both singles titles back-to-back. He works with USTA National Coaches Diego Moyano and Eric Nunez.
 
Alex Rybakov (Jan. 27, 1997), Coral Springs, Fla. – Rybakov swept the boys’ singles and doubles titles at the Daytona Beach ITF Junior event in Daytona Beach, Fla., taking the singles title over Christian Langmo (June 1, 1996, Boca Raton, Fla.), with whom he won the doubles title. Alex is coached by his father Nick.
 
Jack Sock (Sept. 24, 1992), Lincoln, Neb. –  Sock reach the second round of the French Open in his first main-draw appearance at Roland Garros. Along with Steve Johnson and Denis Kudla, Sock was one of three American men to qualify for the French Open, the highest such total since 1982. He works with USTA National Coach Craig Boynton.
 
Sloane Stephens (March 20, 1993), Los Angeles – Stephens advanced to the third round of the WTA event in Rome and then the quarterfinals in Brussels, before reaching the fourth round of the French Open, where she lost to No. 2 seed and defending champion Maria Sharapova. She works with USTA National Coach Troy Hahn.
 
Dennis Uspensky (Oct. 22, 1996), Atlantic Beach, N.Y. – Uspensky reached the singles final of two ITF Junior events – the Epitok-Abris Cup in Budapest, Hungary, and the CAT Junior Circuit event in Oujda, Morocco.
 
Sachia Vickery (May 11, 1995), Hollywood, Fla. – Vickery reached the semifinals of the USTA Pro Circuit $25,000 tournament in El Paso, Texas. She works with USTA National Coach Kathy Rinaldi.
