The monthly USTA Player Development Player and Coach Honor Roll recognizes the top performing young Americans and their coaches each month.

Here’s a look at some of the most outstanding performances turned in by American tennis players ages 20 and younger in January:

Alexander Bernard (Aug. 13, 2003), Bonita Springs, Fla. – Singles semifinalist at the 14-and-under Nike Junior International Teen Tennis event in Bolton, England. He is coached by Rene Gomez.

Hurricane Tyra Black (March 2, 2001), Boca Raton, Fla. – Reached the singles semifinals at the Grade 1 Coffee Bowl ITF junior event in San Jose, Costa Rica. She is coached by Lawrence Carpio.

Trent Bryde (Aug. 24, 1999), Suwanee, Ga. – Reached the singles semifinals at the Grade 1 Coffee Bowl ITF junior event in San Jose, Costa Rica. He is coached by Will Wright.

Brian Cernoch (Sept. 9, 1999), Rockville, Md. – Reached the singles final at the Grade 1 Mundial Juvenil de Tenis ITF Junior event in Ibarra, Ecuador, and reached the semifinals at the Grade 1 Copa Barranquilla ITF Junior Event in Colombia. He is coached by Asaf Yamin.

Sophie Chang (May 28, 1997), Havre de Grace, Md. – Doubles champion at the USTA Pro Circuit $25,000 women’s event in Orlando, Fla.

Oliver Crawford (April 30, 1999), Spartanburg, S.C. – Reached the singles final at the Grade 1 Coffee Bowl ITF junior event in San Jose, Costa Rica. He is coached by Anthony Stewart and Kelly Jones.

Martin Damm (Sept. 30, 2003), Bradenton, Fla. – Singles finalist at the 14-and-under Nike Junior International Teen Tennis event in Bolton, England. He is coached by his father, Martin, and Ashley Hobson.

Kayla Day (Sept. 28, 1999), Santa Barbara, Calif. – Reached the singles quarterfinals and doubles final at the $100,000 USTA Pro Circuit women’s event in Midland, Mich. Day (pictured above) is coached by Mike Gennette and Henner Nehles..

Caroline Dolehide (Sept. 5, 1998), Hinsdale, Ill. – Reached the singles semifinals at the $25,000 USTA Pro Circuit women’s event in Daytona Beach, Fla. She is coached by Tom Lockhart.

Salma Ewing (Aug. 28, 2000), Long Beach, Calif. – Reached the singles final at the Grade 1 Coffee Bowl ITF junior event in San Jose, Costa Rica. She is coached by her mother, Reyana.

Taylor Fritz (Oct. 28, 1997), Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. – Singles finalist at the USTA Pro Circuit $125,000 ATP Challenger in Dallas. He is coached by his father, Guy.

Cori Gauff (March 13, 2004), Delray Beach, Fla. – Singles and doubles champion at the 14-and-under Nike Junior International Teen Tennis event in Bolton, England, and singles semifinalist at Les Petit As in Tarbes, France. She is coached by Gerard Loglo.

Skyler Grishuk (Aug. 19, 2000), Newport Beach, Calif. – Won the singles title at the Wilson Tennis Canterbury ITF Junior Event in Christchurch, New Zealand, and won the doubles title at the Grade 3 New Zealand Summer Championships ITF Junior Event in Auckland. She is coached by her mother, Oksana.

Ellie Halbauer (July 10, 1997), Daniel Island, S.C. – Reached singles finals at USTA Pro Circuit $25,000 women’s events, in Orlando, Fla., and in Daytona Beach, Fla. She is coached by Tom Downs.

Elvina Kalieva (July 27, 2003), Staten Island, N.Y. – Singles semifinalist at the 14-and-under Nike Junior International Teen Tennis event in Bolton, England. She is coached by Nick Saviano.

Sofia Kenin (Nov. 14, 1998), Pembroke Pines, Fla. – Reached the singles final at the USTA Pro Circuit $25,000 women’s event, in Orlando, Fla., then reached the semifinals at the $25,000 women’s event in Wesley Chapel, Fla. She is coached by her father, Alex.

Vasil Kirkov (March 13, 1999), Tampa, Fla. – Won the singles title at the Grade 1 Coffee Bowl ITF junior event in San Jose, Costa Rica. He is coached by his father, Stoyan.

Toby Kodat (Jan. 13, 2003), Bradenton, Fla. – Singles and doubles champion at the 14-and-under Nike Junior International Teen Tennis event in Bolton, England. He is coached by his father, Ales.

Ashley Kratzer (Feb. 8, 1999), Newport Beach, Calif. – Reached the singles semifinals at the $15,000 ITF Pro Circuit event in Saint Martin, Guadeloupe.

Patrick Kypson (Oct. 28, 1999), Greenville, N.C. – Reached the singles semifinals at the USTA Pro Circuit $15,000 Men’s Futures in Sunrise, Fla. He is coached by Leo Azevedo.

Aidan Mayo (May 13, 2003), Roseville, Calif. – Singles semifinalist at the 14-and-under Nike Junior International Teen Tennis event in Bolton, England. He is coached by Vahe Assadourian.

Keenan Mayo (May 26, 2000), Roseville, Calif. – Won the doubles title at the Grade 1 Copa Barranquilla ITF Junior Event in Colombia. He is coached by Vahe Assadourian.

Amanda Meyer (July 18, 1999), Delray Beach, Fla. – Won the singles title at the Grade 1 Mundial Juvenil de Tenis ITF Junior Event in Ibarra, Ecuador.

Whitney Osuigwe (April 17, 2002), Bradenton, Fla. – Won the singles title at the Grade 1 Asuncion Bowl ITF Junior Event in Lambare, Paraguay. She is coached by her father, Desmond.

Charlotte Owensby (March 16, 2003), Boca Raton, Fla. – Doubles champion at the 14-and-under Nike Junior International Teen Tennis event in Bolton, England. She is coached by Yulia Beygelzimer.

Tommy Paul (May 17, 1997), Voorhees, N.J. – Singles champion at the USTA Pro Circuit $15,000 Men’s Futures in Palm Coast, Fla. He is coached by Diego Moyano.

Sam Riffice (March 1, 1999), Roseville, Calif. – Reached the singles semifinals at the Grade 1 Coffee Bowl ITF junior event in San Jose, Costa Rica. He is coached by Sylvain Guichard and his mother, Lori.

Gianni Ross (Feb. 4, 1999), Burr Ridge, Ill. – Won the doubles title at the Grade 1 Coffee Bowl ITF junior event in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Timothy Sah (Aug. 9, 1999), San Diego -- Won the doubles title at the Grade 1 Copa Barranquilla ITF Junior Event in Colombia.

Sofia Sewing (July 22, 1999), Doral, Fla. – Reached the singles semifinals and won the doubles title at the Grade 1 Coffee Bowl ITF junior event in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Alana Smith (Nov. 9, 1999), Fort Washington, Md. – Reached the singles semifinals and won the doubles title at the Grade 3 New Zealand Summer Championships ITF Junior Event in Auckland.

Danny Thomas (Nov. 22, 1999), Pickerington, Ohio – Won the doubles title at the Grade 1 Coffee Bowl ITF junior event in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Alexandra Yepifanova (March 2, 2003), Miami Beach, Fla. – Singles finalist at the 14-and-under Nike Junior International Teen Tennis event in Bolton, England. She is coached by Konstantin Anisimov.
